About Vacuum Brazing

Vacuum Brazing is a bonding method by adding filler metal below the melting point of the both basic materials which are to be bonded at a temperature of more than 450℃; as this method makes it possible to bond diversely whether the object is a similar metal or dissimilar metal without no damage to the basic material, so the vacuum brazing is a widely used bonding method for general industry, such as automobile, aircraft, nuclear equipment, air-conditioning, refrigerator, air-conditioning & refrigerating equipment, accessories, cemented carbide tool, defense industry parts, tap & shower fittings, electrical & electronic equipment, farming machine, parts for building piping, etc.

Advantages of Vacuum Brazing

  • whether the basic metal is a similar or dissimilar, the Brazing makes it possible to connect each other, which reduces cost and leads to development of new parts

  • it has a comparative stronger connection strength than other connection. In case of brazing a steel and non-ferrous metal , the tensile strength of the connection is stronger than the basic material itself. In case of stainless steel, it's possible to make a design so that vacuum brazing-based connection can have more than 130,000PSI of tensile strength.

  • In accordance as a clean joint can be obtained after brazing, there is hardly any need for mechanical processing, such as grinding or filing.
